After an extensive long study of the move known as Up The Ladder . Four tutorials, 2000+ videos on the move later, I am finally happy with the results of my tutorial. Here it is, a comprehensive instruction on how to do a move that is easy to learn, and even easier to do poorly. I have covered all the essentials such as the number of strips, ways to finish the cut, and even motion of the strip (Round Circular). So, welcome the best tutorial on the move. Ten years later I am proud to present The Best Tutorial on Up The Ladder Cuts!! Gamblers' False Cut, although not the most difficult of moves in the realm of card magic, does deserve the same treatment as any other move. I have read most of the print sources on the move and although I am still scratching the surface I have put in enough hours to be confident enough to teach the move step-by-step. I mainly teach the Expert Card Technique version which can be found in that book by Jean Hugard and Frederick Braue, specifically page 78. I teach the move face down, face up, back-to-back, multi-colored, upside down, right side up, and even hanging off a cliff (Just kidding... except for the face up, face down, and multi-colored part) .... I use half the pack red, and half the pack blue, which makes it all the easier to follow. I finish teaching the move with 3 cards and finish off with some five of my favorite clips.
