You can let the spectator examine the pen. After that, you take the pen back, and do something COOL!! 

At the beginning of this routine, you show that the pen can move and jump to another side. It's eerie! 

Then, you really knock out your audience as they see the pen go THROUGH its cap. 

No Joke here, it really went through the cap! 

You can then let the spectator examine everything.
